Does MAITO come with customer support?

Absolutely! MAITO includes access to our dedicated customer support to assist you with any queries or concerns. As a small company, we provide personal, attentive support to every customer.

Is there a trial period?

We offer a 15-day fully functional trial period, no payment details required. Because paying without knowing what you're buying is just silly.

Do I need a DeepL account?

Not at all. MAITO now includes a built-in local AI translation engine that works completely offline with no subscriptions or dependencies. For professional work requiring the highest accuracy, you can optionally connect MAITO to DeepL's industry-leading API. The choice is completely yours - use local translation for free, or add DeepL when you need it.

Doesn't the DeepL account require a subscription? I thought you said no subscriptions.

DeepL offers both free and paid plans. The free plan includes a limited number of characters per month (they're very generous though, 500.000!), while the paid plan offers higher limits, where you pay per character. So even when using DeepL, you can avoid any monthly payments.

Why shouldn't I go with DeepL's free plan, and use their client instead?

By using MAITO, you get more out of DeepL's free offering: the regular free plan only offers limited text translation and 3 non-editable file translations of max 5MB, while DeepL's free API plan offers 500k characters per month. By using MAITO, you can use those characters to translate anything from texts, to editable documents, to websites. What payment methods do you accept?

No, none at all. The one-time purchase of €15 includes everything: local AI translation with unlimited usage, all features, and free minor updates. Zero recurring costs.

Why is MAITO so affordable?

We're a (very) small company with little overhead and no investors or venture capital. We're just a couple of developers who want to make a living doing what we love. Plus, by focusing on local translation instead of expensive cloud infrastructure, we can pass the savings on to you.

What if I don't want to use subscriptions at all?

That's exactly why we built MAITO this way! The local AI translation works completely offline with zero recurring costs. You never need to subscribe to anything if you don't want to. The optional DeepL integration is just that - optional, for when you need extra precision.
